Steve Blume retired as Vice President, Americas Fuels of ExxonMobil. He began his career with Mobil Oil Corporation in 1980 as a pipeline engineer. After assignments in logistics, financial analysis, sales, marketing, risk management, revenue management, trading and strategic planning, he became the refinery manager for the Singapore refinery in 2002 and Baton Rouge refinery in 2008. Blume finished his career as Vice President of America Fuels with responsibility for the fuels value chain in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America.
Blume currently sits on the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering advisory council at K-State. He graduated from K-State with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering in 1979 and earned his MBA from the University of Texas, Arlington, in 1983.
Along with his wife, Debbie, Blume created a scholarship for first-generation students majoring in engineering at K-State.
