Why did you choose this location?

This location offered the classes I needed for my major and it's beautiful.

Did you live on campus, off campus or with a host family? What advice can you give for choosing where to live?

I lived with a host family. I would recommend living with a host family because if you ever need anything, they are always nearby and can help you out. You can also develop a personal relationship where you can learn more about their culture.

What courses/subjects did you study?

CHE 354 CHE 355 CHE 356

Please list some of the special activities, events and/or travel experiences that you had.

During my four weeks there, I travelled to Florence, Cinque Terre and Rome. My third weekend there, a group of us travelled to Cinque Terre and stayed in Manarola. We loved it here, the water was amazing, the views were amazing, and it was less traveled, so we really liked that. This is also the location where we learned about transportation strikes and we got stuck here for another day. Our last weekend, we travelled to Rome. There was visible history around every corner and always something to keep you busy. The Vatican City was just as amazing, and I would go back to Rome multiple more times.

What advice can you give to someone considering your study abroad location and/or a study abroad experience?

Have as much fun as you possibly can but I would watch your wallet and don't overspend where you can buy things cheaper somewhere else. Also, make sure your class finished while you're over there and doesn't extend after the trip.
