K-State Multicultural Engineering Program

The Multicultural Engineering Program, or MEP, is focused on increasing the pool of interested and qualified students from historically underrepresented groups pursuing engineering degrees, while also providing a foundational support system. Programs providing this type of engagement for multicultural students include the following:

With generous support of various corporate sponsors, K-State's student organizations are able to attend regional and national conferences, plan activities and programs for the upcoming year and promote the goals of each organization. MEP was initiated in 1977. Although it strives to attract students from historically underrepresented groups, namely African American, Hispanic American and Native American, its programs are open to all.
